James Stephens III announces celebrities for the 21st
Annual James Stephens III Scholarship Foundation Event
RALEIGH NC – On Saturday April 25, 2009, The 21 annual James Stephens
III Scholarship Foundation gala will be held at Progress Energy Center
of the Performing Arts Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina at 8:00 pm. The
Celebrities for this event were announced at the annual Scholarship Gala
board meeting. This year’s celebrities are a star studded group who
believe in the vision of The James Stephens III Scholarship Foundation.
The gala will be hosted by (Roj) Earnest Thomas from the hit
television series “What’s Happening” and the acclaimed movie “Malcolm
X.” Also appearing will be Jazz great, Mike Phillips, Gospel Genius
Canton Jones, Emmanuel Lewis, Alfonzo McAuley of the movies Pride and
Fat Albert Other celebrities and special guest include Geri Reischl as Jan of the Brady Bunch,
Thomas Dortch Atlanta's Hall of Fame businessman of the Year and past
prsident of the 100 Black Men of America, Olympic medalist Ed Mosses, Sports agent Steve Kauffman,
From the Macdonalds corporation global Pat Harris, Lucille O’Neal
of the quality of life fund, Pro Golfer Andia Winslow, Roger Hernandez, 2
time Word kick boxer Johnny Davis, Jazz vocalist Margo Leduc and lead
singer from the Temptations Louis Price.
The Super Kid Award will be awarded to Ty'Sheoma Bethea, the young
woman who was invited to attend President Obama's State of the Economy

STEPHENS III Scholarship Foundation directly helps students today in
Wake, Durham, and Dillon counties in North and South Carolina. The
James Stephens III Scholarship Foundation is designed to assist our
future leaders who face a widening educational gap by providing books,
computers, or financial support to students who are committed to
pursuing their educational achievements. The Foundation recognizes the
educational accomplishments, potential, and commitment of young people.
The goal of the James Stephens III Foundation is to provide
scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Funding from the
foundation will make the difference to students who want to further
their educational goals by attending technical or university
opportunities within the continental United States.
